But our story started, almost 20 years ago, with the man.

Born in 1976, Bruges, Gys has come a long way from his days of having a one-man office in a small room in Ghent.

He is the founder of POLARIS Creative Solutions, an agency based design studio.

Today, 17 years later, his PLANET POLARIS™ is a creative multi brand & community with two headquarters in Europe, several subsidiary companies like EVE Culture Building, Polaris Creative Solutions, It’s a Hotel™, Polarisnation Group™, NineGoodies™, PolarisCare™, Clever&Cool™, PolarisTravel™, PolarisContent™ and with interests in several other affiliate companies.

It’s a full-service brand representing creative and technical talent in the fields of brand marketing, communication design, ICT, people communication, travel, writing, training and education, hospitality, food & beverages, consumer adoptation of technology, advertising, content providing and charity, working on projects around the globe.

It is his responsibility to align the companies, internally and externally, with his strategic vision. He pitches ideas, has ideas pitched to him and puts together partnerships and deals. From day 1 he’s been a trailblazer for good causes and charitable projects. He has been guest lecturer at several schools and is a passionate keynote speaker at various occasions.

Gys studied some archaeology at Leuven University, Graphic Design at Sint-Lucas Ghent and Computer Generated Imagery at UFT Toronto.

He is also a husband & proud father of two sons (14 y and 3 y), philanthropist, global citizen, piano player, drummer, terrible cello player, comic/whisky collector and proud owner of a Triumph Explorer, BMW R Nine T and a Dnepr M11 (yes, with sidecar).

For a few years now, and in his rare spare time, he strives to get a degree in theoretical physics, one of his many pet projects.
